From the Classroom to the Piazza
This two-week Italian language program features daily interactive classes, along with an abundance of opportunities to engage with other students, meet locals and explore the town of Pennabilli and the surrounding area. Our program blends comprehensive exposure with explicit instruction in a truly immersive approach, while providing ample opportunities and encouragement for you to apply your language skills in real everyday situations in the small village where we stay.
The heart of "Living the Language" is the chance to use your language skills in uniquely local activities. Each season we will offer different activities, like meeting artists or musicians, visiting the museum for a tour in Italian, hands on crafts, or small group conversations with locals. Please note that additional activities may be scheduled when possible.
These planned activities complement the lessons, offering opportunities to use what you're learning in the classroom, while independent "self-guided" learning blocks let you choose from a variety of ways to interact with locals and get to know each other in a relaxed way. There’s also free time to explore on your own, walk in the countryside, sample gelato, or just enjoy the slower pace of life in a small village. Altogether it creates an authentic, cultural experience that is unique to Esperienza, and makes learning the language fun!
